Service description
SimpleVideo is a European video hosting service for business websites. Customers use the app to upload videos, manage player and sharing settings, generate captions and transcripts, and publish videos through website embeds or SimpleVideo sharing pages.
Standard and assessment method
SimpleVideo aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA and uses EN 301 549 as the main reference for digital accessibility requirements. This statement is based on an internal self-assessment of the public website, authenticated app, public sharing pages, and hosted video player.
The most recent internal review was completed on 2026-07-03.
Current accessibility support
- Public website pages use semantic page structure, language attributes, keyboard-reachable navigation, and a skip link to the main content.
- App forms and dialogs are designed with explicit labels, inline validation, disabled in-flight actions, and live status feedback where practical.
- The hosted player supports keyboard playback controls, visible focus states, labelled controls, captions, subtitle size controls, and visible transcript disclosure on public sharing pages when a transcript is available and enabled.
- Embedded player iframes include titles and use a responsive layout so customer pages can present the player at different viewport sizes.
Known limitations
Some accessibility work remains ongoing:
- Captions and transcripts depend on the customer’s uploaded media, uploaded subtitle files, or generated transcript output. A video may not have captions or transcript text if the customer has not provided or generated them.
- Customer websites that embed SimpleVideo control the surrounding page, heading structure, color contrast, iframe placement, and any text around the player.
- Historical customer media, third-party content, or externally controlled page content may need separate review by the customer.
- A third-party accessibility audit has not yet been completed.

We review accessibility reports and track corrective actions internally. Where a reported issue shows a service non-conformance, we assess the impact and corrective measures.
Review cycle
This statement and the underlying assessment are reviewed after material service changes and at least every five years.
